Here in the Midwest we have some of the greatest architecture and homes in the country. Many of our foundations have lost their structural integrity over the years for a variety of reasons. Some homes were built on brick or concrete block foundations and many of these homes experience bowing from hydrostatic pressure. This may cause serious cracking or bowing of the walls, not to mention all the water problems that come with it. Other homes were built on low crawl space foundations that offer no lower living or space advantages.
These are just a few of the reasons that we replace existing foundations and install full basements under homes. We have taken homes that were on a complete crawl space foundation and have excavated under the home to allow for a 14’ full basement. Most people don’t need a 14’ basement but this is to show you all of the capabilities of EHM and the possibilities underneath you.
